Working in Progress - Indiana Zombie & the Golden Idol

S.L.U.G Zombies. Including two Zombies and one human zombie hunter.

This zombie was Grim Trekker and he looked like Indiana Jones. That was why I picked this one.

His left arm looked weird even though he was a zombie. Needed to modify his left arm.

For better result of this diorama, he needed to look at the golden idol. Therefore, I also modified the angle of his head besides left arm.

Used Tamiya epoxy putty to touch up these areas.

Used Super Sculpey Firm to make the stone base and floor for the golden idol.

Drew the pattern on floor first.

Carved the pattern by scribing tools.

These were several grooves on the stone base of the golden idol. Used PE saw and kept appropriately distances to make these grooves.

Needed the complicated patterns on the stone base. I divided the circle of base into 16 areas. Drew a single pattern on masking tape for one area only, then carved the area by a needle. Other circle patterns were carved by punch and riveting tools.

The golden idol finally showed up. I decided to have a head of Lego C3PO instead of same golden idol from the movie. It looked kind of funny.

Began to paint the Zombie. Painted the skin part first.

Painted his shirt, pant, and bag.

Painted shoes, his hat, and the torch. Than added blood and dust stains on clothes.

I needed something to fight against the zombie. Made a Peashooter and a Jalapeno by Super Sculpey Firm.

Finished painting.

Painted the head of C3PO. Airbrushed gloss black, Mr. Color SM-08 plate silver, metal paints of champagne plus gold. Then painted the eyes and washed recessed lines.

Painted the stone base and floor by acrylic paints.

Added plants from Woodland Scenics as weeds. Also tinted a little bit of yellow on weeds.

Put the zombie, golden idol, plants on base. Finished.
